Have you been to the Creation Museum?

 Girls,
have you ever been to the
Creation Museum
in Petersburg, KY?

Mr. 4-Ever and I just went for the first time.
It was awesome!

Narrated exhibits
filled with life size replicas of
dinosaurs and people,
the Creation Museum brings
the story of creation,
the fall of man in the Garden of Eden,
the building of the arc,
and what happened
during and after the flood,
into clear focus.

There’s a planetarium featuring
our Created Cosmos and
Aliens: Fact or Fiction.
There is a special effects theatre
that shows films of interest
about God and his creation.
There are live presentations
from creation experts
several times a day.

Outside, there are zip lines,
botanical gardens,
a petting zoo,
camel rides and
nature walks.

I know this sounds like an advertisement
for the Creation Museum,
but I have to tell you what I saw
so you’ll understand what I learned.

Two things.

1.

We are significant to God,
worthy of his attention
and of utmost interest to him.

This universe,
with its bazillions of galaxies,
is beyond measure,
created by a God who is
infinitely creative.

Though there are billions of people
begging for his attention
and millions of angels
praising him in the heavens,
God hears you when you call.
He is attuned to your voice.

You need only whisper,
“God, are you there?”
and immediately
you have his undivided attention!

Remarkably,
so does every other person
and spirit clamoring for his ear.

Though you and I are
an infinitesimally
small component
of all God has created,
we are significant to HIM!

2.

All creation speaks of the Creator.
I need not be concerned
about defending God.

He is in the business
of making himself known.

However,
should I want to declare God to others,
or should he call me to
proclaim His Holiness
to one or a million,
he equips me to do so
through his creation and
through his word,
and through my testimony.

The Creation Museum
takes identical facts and
explains them
from a worldly perspective,
and Biblical truth.

If you’ve ever wished
you were better prepared to
defend your faith
or tell someone
about your God,
consider a visit to
the Creation Museum.

Be prepared to believe!

Psalm 19:1-6

The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
Day after day they pour forth speech;
night after night they reveal knowledge.
They have no speech, they use no words;
no sound is heard from them.
Yet their voice goes out into all the earth,
their words to the ends of the world.
In the heavens God has pitched a tent for the sun.
It is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber,
like a champion rejoicing to run his course.
It rises at one end of the heavens
    and makes its circuit to the other;
nothing is deprived of its warmth.

Hi Robyn, wow…last week 40 members from the First Congregational Church went by bus on 2 night 3 day trip to the Ark and Creation Museum.. You are right on and it was a great experience. The Ark is very impressive with the all the beautiful wood, lots of it. The Creation Museum is also very impressive. I was in awe of the cosmos and how Our God created our little planet with all its beauty while the other stars have their purpose but are bare. All those different galaxies, I am still trying to wrap my head around how God can keep everything together. Sharalyn, Lorraine and I went on the zip line at the Museum and this 76 year old loved it. I read all your e-mails and Sharalyn and I talk about you often. We are pleased to see that you are very busy traveling.
Say hello to Mr4ever for us…..

      Nancy,
I would have paid to see you three on the zip line. So glad to hear from you.
Hope our paths cross again – not necessarily on a zipline … 🙂

I have visited the Creation Museum last year. It was breath taking. It really does make oneself take a step back and think just how awesome our God is. It also makes me feel so blessed that I have him in my life.
Next adventure is to go to the Ark. I saw a video about it and It is also very awesome.
Happy Easter to you and your family.
