Not Too Late For A Big Dream
It’s Not Too Late For YOUR Big Dream!
I spend a lot of my days doing
Ordinary stuff.
Boring stuff.
Familiar stuff.
Cleaning bathrooms.
Washing clothes.
Fixing meals.
You, too, right?
There’s a little verse in Zechariah 4:10 that says,
“Do not despise these small beginnings,
for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin..”
As an author and speaker
I have BIG DREAMS
to see thousands surrender to Jesus.
I have BIG DREAMS
of women breaking free of stinkin’ thinkin’.
I have BIG DREAMS of
infusing hope to the bowed down.
Sometimes my big dreams get lost
in the day to day drudgery of life.
Does that happen to your
BIG DREAM?
That thing that makes you
hopping mad or
brings you to tears or
makes your heart beat faster
when you think and talk about it.
You have a vision to change the world
or at least your corner of it, but
you get interrupted
by unexpected pregnancies and
babies who need changing and
toddlers who need training and
teens who need redirection and
your neighbor who needs a jump
and your house that needs cleaning and
and your marriage that needs a spark of romance
and your BIG DREAM sits dormant.
We lose momentum
when we encounter resistance.
We begin to
complain and grumble.
We falter when the tasks
become hard or mundane.
Fear of failure,
rejection and
judgement seizes us.
Then work on the
BIG DREAM
grinds to a halt.
Don’t be discouraged by the
distractions of life
the neigh sayers,
the slow starts or the
interruptions of your everyday.
If you got derailed or
detained or
distracted or
even temporarily
disinterested…
Don’t despair.
It’s not too late for a
BIG DREAM!
I’d love to hear what you’re working on.
What’s your
BIG DREAM
to change your corner of the world?
Scripture Refresher: “Do not despise these small beginnings,
for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin..”
Zechariah 4:10 (NIV)
What a blessing the timing of this post is in my life. I have wanted to open my own company for years and I will finally have the opportunity to do so later this summer and I have been paralyzed with fear of not having a regular paycheck, not being a sucess and all those roadblocks put into our mind. This has reminded me that God has given me this opportunity to dream big and with his guidance and my hard work this BIG DREAM might just come true.
